Moving Jobs on a Tier 2 (General) visa

Post by bleibig » Tue Sep 27, 2011 5:30 pm

Hello,

I have been in the UK for 3 years on a Work permit. I just completed an MBA at Cass University and was intending to get a Tier 1 general once i completed it to gain the required points. The situatuion has changed.

I'm now in the process of leaving my job and would like to stay in the UK. It seems like it is very difficult for companies to bring new people into the UK.

Can anyone provide some insight on what the requirements are for a company to transfer my sponsership? I'm just trying to decide if I should stay in the UK and look for work, or if it makes more sense to just go back to the US and look there.

Thanks,
Ben

There is no concept of "transferring sponsorship". If you wish to change jobs then you need to find an employer willing to sponsor your employment in the UK.
