Family Visa - Probationary period increased from 2-5 years

Hi,

I have seen in news paper that the ukba is planning to increase the probationary period from 2-5 years. Has that been confirmed and will come to effect soon. I'm on unmarried partner visa and i'm eligible to apply for ILR on 2013.

Can anyone shed light on this matter.
