visa time finishing and need to apply for psw

my visa is finishing on 31-01-2012. and my mba result will be announced in the 1st week of feb. do i still need extension visa just for 1 week to be eligible for psw.

I m afraid you would not be able to get CAS letter just to cover few days. You would need to get admission in another course, fulfilling all academic & visa requirements (maintenance etc) or otherwise you will have to get the letter from your institution that you are expected to pass and that should contain the start & end date and title of the course. Only then you would be able to apply for PSW before the end of current visa.

when does your course finish (when you you sit your final exam/hand in your last piece of work?).

date of submission of my final dissertation is 23 Jan 2011. my supervisor told that we shall be given result in the 1st week of feb 2011. my visa is ending on 31st jan 2011.
