Help needed to apply UK Familiy Visitor Visa

Post by skeshapr » Wed Oct 12, 2011 7:11 pm

Advise needed ! I am going to get married in Feb 2012 and then I am looking to visit my wife in UK. I want to apply for UK Visitor Visa (Family Visitors). Now my problem is that my wife's visa is expiring in March 2012, but her company would apply for an extension. Can I apply for Visitor Visa showing the proof that her company has already applied for her extension, or do I need to wait till her passport is back with her along with the new date, which would be around July 2012. Please help. And how many days does it usually take to get the Visitor visa from India. My wife is on Tier 2 UK work permit.

1. Given that you'll wed in Feb 2012 and your spouse-to-be's leave expires in Mar 2012, you should apply for visitor visa after your wife has been granted extension.
2. Unless you provide evidence of strong ties to the country you are resident of, your visitor visa application may be refused.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
