Period of Grant in CoS

Hi There,

I am currently on Tier 2 General visa and I am planning to change the job and my new potential employer is going to issue me a CoS soon and i will apply in the same tier 2 category. Whats the maximum "period of Grant" the emloyer can mention in the Cos?
