Discretionary leave and public funds

Post by yetibol » Mon Oct 31, 2011 4:15 pm

Im having problem with the house where i live with my daughter and we have been given eviction notice date. Presently im not working(still looking for job) but im actively seeking but wont be able to get anything before the eviction date. I have been to my council and they told me i need to apply for jobseeker allowance and use a proof of that to apply for the council housing since im not working and it states on the home office letter that i am entitle to public funds. So i wouldnt know if applying for jobseeker allowance and housing benefit will affect my renewal of discretionary leave in 3 yrs time. And if i decide to apply for jobseeker allowance and later gets a job can they stop the allowance and housing benefit and if they can stop will it still affect my renewal of discretionary leave. Thanks :(
