Unmarried Partner Visa 1 day after Tier 5 Visa Expires

Hi

I am an Australian currently on a Tier 5 visa. I have lived with my partner since I moved here in Jan 2010. I completely got the Unmarried Partner Visa 2 year requirement part wrong (I completely missed it somehow??).

Can I apply for the Unmarried Partner Visa in the final week while my Tier 5 visa is still valid and be successful? We will meet the 2 year requirement on the day my Tier 5 visa expires.

Otherwise I am not sure of my options.

Don't apply that late! If you're within a month or so from 2 years of living together it's fine to apply then.
