Hi,
I've a valid Tier2- ICT till Jan-30-2011. I am planning to visit home during this Christmas and come back on Jan-7-2012.
However I will be applying for extension/leave to remain (short term staff) once I am back.
Can you please let me know whether I can enter UK without any issues, with this 23 day valid VISA?

There shouldn't be any problem. Since the Tier 2 is a Multiple entry visa, and you are coming back to UK in the validity of your visa.
The question is... to be or not to be....
