Work Permit+T2 holder annual salary requirement

Post by Luckysepgirl » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:49 pm

I was previously holding a work permit, worked in the UK between Feb 2007 - Dec 2011. Recently, I extended my visa under T2 as work permit is no longer available.

As a result, by the end of Feb 2012, I will have been living in UK for 5 years and qualify to apply indefinite leave to remain (settlement).

I am aware recently Home Office requires work permit or T2 holder to be paid at or above certain salary rate to qualify to apply Settlement. However, when I looked up in Codes of Practice file, the rate is mentioned is hourly rate.

I am a chef and the current requirement in Home Office file says the rate should be at or above £9.62 per hour, based on 37.5 hours a week. But my salary is annual salary.

Therefore, could someone please kindly advise me what is the annual salary requirement rate for chef, to apply settlement?

Thank you very much.

Have a lovely weekend to all of you ^_^

Hourly rate given in COP for job in question * hours per week * 52 weeks = min. annual salary required.
