MN1 Query (Council is asking for a letter from the HO)

Post by 1980fk » Tue Jan 10, 2012 11:00 am

Hi Guys

I was recently granted ILR on a 10 yrs long residency. My daughter was born last year in the UK (we have not travelled out of the UK since she is born, assuming that once i have the indefinite visa i can apply for her passport straight away)

I called the local Council to book an appointment to submit her MN1 form. But they are saying that they need a letter from the home office with my daughter's name on it to say that she has the indefinite leave

i told her that I have the indefinite leave and my daughter was born in the UK. they only thing i can provide is her Birth certificate.
the Council people are saying that you need to contact the Home office to send you a letter

Please can you guys advise.

Regards

Faisal
