British Passport application for kids whose parents are ILR

Post by bigpapa » Wed Jan 11, 2012 4:38 pm

My two kids were born before my wife and I had our ILR. we are due BC end of this year. My question is when we get BP can we apply for BP for the kids straight ahead or they'll need to go thru the normal application process and pay the hefty application fees

The children you mention are not currently British, and therefore it is impossible to get them British passports, at the moment.

You need to submit forms MN1 for each of then to obtain a Certificate of Registration as a British Citizen 0for each of them. Having got those certificates it is then an easy matter to get them passports.
