Biometric Residence Permit - Urgent requirement

Post by kalmefrnd » Thu Jan 19, 2012 9:19 pm

Hi,

I had applied for FLR(M) by post and I have received a letter from Home Office to attend for the Biometrics Residence Permit. The letter from the home office is dated as 16th Jan 2012. But I received the letter on 19th Jan 2012.

The letter says that I have up to 15 working days ( from the date of this letter )
1) to book an appointment to have the biometrics taken at a home office Biometric enrolement center
2) or visit a participating Post office Ltd branch to have biometrics taken.

Could someone please confirm on which process would be faster and better?

If I go to post office how long would they take to send my biometrics to the home office?
or is it better to take an appointment at the home office.

Also if i give my biometrics at the post office, do they consider the date i attend the post office for biometrics or the date when the home office received my biometric details?

Kindly confirm which is better as this is very urgent.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
kalmefrnd
