Can anyone provide me with some information please?

I am a British Citizen and married a muslim student last year.

My husband's student visa will be running out shortly and due to my health problems, I am not fit to work. I have been told by friends that because I am not working, and don't have any savings, my husband will not be able to reside in UK on a permanent basis. I cannot live in Pakistan, because I require my medicine and medical supplies, and cannot cope with the heat there. I wish to remain in UK, and wish for my husband to remain in the UK. Is there any way that my husband could apply to stay here?

I take it you have family in the UK? If so, you can ask them to co-sponsor your husband's visa application. As long as they write a letter stating that they will act as a co-sponsor and provide bank statements and/or wage slips there should be no problem getting your husband a visa.
