family tax credit

Post by MUHAMMAD ARIF KHAN » Sat Jan 28, 2012 12:17 am

Hi Sir

Could any one help me out about this. I get my ILR on 26.10.2011 . My wife and baby got discretionary leave to remain till Sep 2014. My baby was born here but I haven't applied for her british citizenship yet .(I beleive via MN1 Form) . As per Visa my Wife is not restricted from claiming any benefit . She came here in UK in Aug 2006 as my spouse then in Nov 2011 she got this current status of discretionary leave to remain.

My question is that I am thinking to apply for Family tax credit . If my situation suits this . Will it have any adverse effect on my british citizenship , or my wife's Visa extension in 2014 etc. One more thing that I had been out of country for 40 days from end of december 2011 to mid of jan 2012. while my wife and baby are still out of country from mid of dec 2011 and will be coming in feb 2012 end. (in total 78 days).

If it is ok now to apply to apply for this Family Tax credit . as my my wife and baby are out of country for 78 days .

Many THanks
