This has been mentioned by a couple of different people but I can't find any documentation to substantiate it.

This is for a switch from Tier 5 (Youth Mobility).

from what I understand going through a visa change process (currently on YMS Visa and my company is trying to sponsor me on a Tier 2 Visa) I am sure the YMS visa doesn't have to be expired first.
