I made an application on 24th Oct 2009 and got my documents back on 10th of November 2009 and a letter saying application is invalid because of the pic i have sent was old. They didn't tell anything in the letter what i should do. Even not like i can appeal or not. But i have called to HO and spoken to couple of people, different person said different things it's really confusing. Some said make another application with covering letter. Some said you can't make an out of date application. My visa expired 31st of Oct 2009.

But i have made 2nd application on 14th Nov 2009 they got on 15th and took the money from the bank. and got visa on 2nd of december 2009.


I don't have any other gap.

On 22nd of February 2012 will be my 10yrs, can i apply for ILR under long residence. What should i do? Can anyone pls advice me.

You may need to seek legal advice, the gap seems pretty long.
