marriage visa and government benefits, please help

hello everyone..

me and my partner are planning to get married..
unfortunatly, my partner has cancer, and he gets benefits from the gvernment..

they say that for the marriage visa both of us must prove that e can support each other without benefits.. i can prove that about myself, but what about him, would that be a problem? does anyone know?

-: which begs the question, who are "they"?

As regards the benefits claimed by your fiance, can you please post the name(s) of the benefit(s) that he actually gets? And are you claiming any benefits, including any benefits related to his medical condition?
