Extension of Tier 2 ICT

Hi All

I need clarification regarding the possibility for extending my visa.

1. I have Tier 2 ICT visa, got it in Sep 2010 with a validity of 2years
2. What is the possibility of getting my visa extended by applying in UK and by doing it from home country?
3. If i go back on expiration of my existing visa, what will be my cool off period(i know its 1year since 6th April 2011, will this apply for me also)?
