Newborn- travel abroad. Need visa?

Post by sahi » Thu Feb 23, 2012 2:31 pm

Hi,
my friedn is on tier1 and his wife is his dependant and they had baby two month ago, due to some family reason his wife has to travel urgently now they have to apply for the child visa.
My friend is sending his bank statement, how much he has to show for 3 months? he is in the uk more than 12 months. is it £533 or does he need to show £800 as well plese advise.

Immigration Rules paragraphs 304 & 305
Maintenance and accommodation requirements do not apply to a person who qualifies under these provisions.(what does this mean?)

The visa endorsement must be in line with that of the parent(s) in the UK so the ECO will need to see evidence of this. If the parents have different leave durations, it will be for the longer period.

please anyone,
thanks

If the newborn wants to travel abroad he/she can travel with their dependents without a visa. They just need a passport to travel..But when the baby wants to come back to the country, the parent should go back to the home country and apply for a dependent visa before coming back to the UK
