Overstaying in UK,need urgent help please!

How to apply for permission to stay in UK if i overstayed 1 year but my baby is living now here (my child and her mother are citizens of EU, there's no possibility for marrige with her mother). I want to be with my child,her mother wants it too, but don't know how can i stay now here. H.O. knows i'm still in UK. What they can do? And if i will have to go back to my country,would i be banned for 10 years? Can i use Chikwamba here or just anything else? Please help,thank you!

If you leave the UK and apply for a visa that grants access to a child you will not be banned as such bans are waived for that category of visa, unless you have aggravated the overstay with some other offence categorized under paragraph 320 (11) of the immigration rules. Otherwise you can remain in the UK and apply for discretionary leave. Each of these options have their pros and cons so you should seek legal advice before you make any further decisions.
