No Recourse To Public Fund?

Post by danysoho » Fri Feb 24, 2012 6:21 am

Hi,

I'v lived in the uk for fives now I.e student, psw and tier 1 g.
My concern now is that higher education is free in Scotland and am intending to start a degree, so my worries is that will I be breaking the immigration rule as I have No Recourse To Public Fund?

Even if you are entitled free higher education in Scotland, that is not within the definition of Public Funds, as in para 6 of the Immigration Rules, so no problem.

agree with John. In addition however - are you sure you are entitled to no pay fees - not everyone is exempted from paying fees at Scottish universities (not even English students).
