Original bank statement - urgent

Post by samindaksm » Sat Feb 25, 2012 10:05 am

hi, I was maintaining funds with barclays and unexpectedly they closed my account. But in order to maintain the consistency, I deposited funds again with santander as well before barclays closes my account. I'm planning to apply the visa in next week since my 90 days gooing be complete by next week. I coudln't manage to get statement from barclays for the specified period which I maintained funds with them. But I got the oroginal statements they sent to me during the time my account is active. I maintained funds with barclays from 29/11/2011 to 16/01/2012. From 16/01/2012, I'm with santander. If I send the original statements barclays sent to me, will that be a problem. The reason is, in my original statements, there are entries where the amount is less than £800, before 29/11/2011 and after 16/01/2012. In fact, by 20/01/2012, balance is 0 since I was advised by barclays to withdraw everything by 20/01/2012 since they are going to close the account by that date. But from 16/01/2012, I have funds with santander.
I'm doubtful about this since, in the 20th page of the latest PSW policy guidance, they say

103. Where evidence from two or more
accounts are submitted, we will assess the
funds available to the applicant using:
the most recent closing balance of one
account, plus
•any additional money available to the
applicant on the date of that closing
balance
, for which the applicant has
provided the required evidence.
We will always use the closing balance
date from the account that most favours the
applicant.

Will barclays january's statement's closing (end of month) balance being £0 be a problem even though it's balance by 16/01/2012 is more than £800 and from 16/01/2012 funds being available with santander.

As I have stated above, if I mentioned them a specific time period which I have maintained funds in, will the case officer concern to read through the dates I have given in my statements ? Any advice will be very highly appreciated. Thanks
