Non-eea spouse of eea national. When should I Apply for PR?

Post by krup » Sat Feb 25, 2012 7:16 pm

Hi, everybody. I am non EEA national family member of EAA national. My husband is living in UK and working as self employed for last 10 years. We have been married since 2007. I have a resident card which will expire in 2013. The question is: when can I apply for Permanent Residence? Should I wait till my residence card expires in 2013? I am wondering if I could apply for PR this year 2012 on the grounds that it will pass 5 years since we have been married. Thanks.

You can apply this year in whatever month you were married.
