Glasow PEO sucessfull - My experience

Post by jaymandalia » Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:48 pm

Hey guys,
Got good news to share! Finally my visa has been extended. a big relief considering my bundle of joy is due in 2 months....
Had an appointment on 22nd at glasgow at 09.30 so reached there by 09.00.
1) Usual security checks (like airport)
2) Was given a token and was told to sit till my name is called. (the staff was very friendly)
3) went to the window where token number is called and submitted all my documents (he did not need any xeroz copies)
Tier 1 form dully filled, dependant teir 1 form, 2 recent photos, sal slips, bank statements, my employer reference letter (additional evidence for UK experience) cover letter. no evidence submitted for english and qualification as had already provided in my previous application.
4) within 15 mins I was called and was told that my visa is approved, he asked me to wait for an hour to take our biometrics.
5) went to the coffee shop outside PEO and came back after an hour.
6) got the biometrics done (that guy was very friendly as well and knew a lot about bollywood!)
7) again waited for 10 mins and got the letter stating the visa vaildity and was asked to sign on that.
I got 3 years visa from the 22nd feb and not from the visa would have expired.

Finally I was told that I would receive the BPR card within a week and was free to leave.

Everything done within 2 hours....

Thanks a lot to everybody for clarifying my doubts regarding my extension.

My advice to prospects is just to keep it simple, provide them with the info they need and not overload the info and it will be done.

Cheers,
Jay

Congrats Jay.

Could you tell us when was your initial leave expiring. As you said that they gave you the extension from the date you applied. Which is 22nd Feb.

Does this mean, you are going to be short for your 5 year period for ILR.

There aren't many reviews about Glasgow PEO so thanks for sharing.

So you find them have professional knowledge regarding Tier 1 extension as there was a post previously concerning that Glasgow office does not process tier 1 extension cases in PEO.

Yes, As mentioned they took 15 mins to have a look at my documents and make a judgement. I went in at 09.00 in morning and was out at 10.45 with all biometrics done..

My personal experience was fantastic!

@ Ramesh1 - Glasgow PEO address is :

Festival court, 200 brand street, govan, Glasgow G511DH. I took a virgin train from luston to glasgow.

Hope this helps.

I actually went a day before as my appointment at 09.30...yes you will have a take a taxi to reach there, its not very far (but not walking distance either) it takes around 5 hours from luston to glasgow but the train journey is quite pleasant I would say.

Cheers,
Jay
