HSMP Application date or Tier 1 Entry clearance appl. date

When I had applied for the HSMP, I had the claimed 10 points for age in 2008. I had used the HSMP approval letter for Tier 1 Entry clearance in 2009.
Can you please confirm
Now for my Tier 1 extension, which application date should I use: HSMP or Tier 1 Entry clearance?
If I use Tier 1 Entry clearance application date , I can get only 5 points for age.
