Another job, changing COS,will apply for Tier 2 main + Depen

Hi all,

Came here on work permit last year and now have resigned from current job, the COS is to expire in June 2012. However i have got another job offer and they have applied for COS last week.
Now i wanted to know the following please:-

1. Once i get the New COS, can i apply for it through the Tier 2 visa form which says "Main Applicant" for myself and my wife?? by post together? or is there a different application for dependent even if we are applying together?

2. Since we dont have a Biometric done, once we post the form with other documents and fees, is it then only i will get a letter for Biometric which i can use at the post office?

Different form is used for main applicant and dependant even if applying at the same time; you said you came here last year on work permit. I was under impression that work permit category was closed long time back...did you come under tier 2 or under other category?
