APPLICATION Form questions, URGENT !!!!! (TIER 1 General)

Post by fabercastel » Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:21 am

Hello All,

Please could you help me in filling me some sections in the application form, I have my appointment in 2 days time
and I still have some doubts. Thanks very much for your time.

FYI:
I am a TIER 1 general applicant (extending my stay after 3 yrs)
Questions are:

1. In the MAIN TIER 1 general applicant form, in pg. 36 ,
Earnings claimed (in original currency) is asked ( what is it? , I am earning 35750 per annum without
deducting tax, is it monthly tax with tax deducted or yearly income with tax deducted or annual income without tax deducted)

2. earnings in pounds sterling ??
------------------------------------------
Below are questions for TIER 1 GENERAL DEPENDANT APPLICATION

3. Pg-28-k1-section, Have you been previously been granted leave as the dependant of the main applicant.
(what does it say, FYI my wife lived with me in UK for the past 3 years as TIER 1 dependant)

4. k3-section, Is your relationship with the main applicant subsisting
(what does it say, Yes, she does stay with me and will continue staying with me)

5. are both of your parents lawfully present in the uk
( ??, no parents, just husband present in uk)

6. is the main applicant your sole surviving parent
(??)

7. does the main applicant have sole responsibility for your upbringing
(?? , yes, but parents could be and will be supportive as well but they are not in UK)

8. do you intend to stay in the uk beyond the period of leave that the main applicant has been granted
(??, my wife will be staying with me in UK as long as I have visa, so should i mark YES or NO

9. pg.30, reference number of the main applicant most recent application to us
(?? , I will be applying for extension as the same time as the dependant, what is this reference no. indicate?)

10. date of the main applicant most recent application to us
( initially i got tier 1 in 2009, then i will be renewing now, what is this recent applicant date indicates??)

11. question for dependant:
if you have any previous passport which containes a previous grant of leave
YES or NO, my wife just has one tier 1 visa which she got along with me during 2009

12. In the new dependant tier 1 general form, at the very final page it says << go to section D, but there is no section D in the application form >>>

Please could someone reply with any answers , I have the appointment in 2 days time, sorry for the short notice,
Thanks everyone for your precious time in replying.

Regards
dino

fabercastel,
my replay will b just about the Earnings claimed about the dependent i have no experince in that.

Earnings claimed (in original currency) if u earn the moeny in UK so u will put GBP (Great British Pound) and Exchange rate will b 1, gross income as u said 35,750 and the same # in earnings in pounds sterling coz the exchange rate is 1, and these information is available in the point base system calculator

if u have another bussiness out side UK then now u will but with currency and the exchange rate and then earnings in pounds sterling the simple equation for rate exchange
good luck

Answered by nolada (and also explained in Policy Guidance. £35,750 (should be before tax)

2. earnings in pounds sterling ??
Again as explained by nolada
------------------------------------------
Below are questions for TIER 1 GENERAL DEPENDANT APPLICATION

3. Pg-28-k1-section, Have you been previously been granted leave as the dependant of the main applicant.
(what does it say, FYI my wife lived with me in UK for the past 3 years as TIER 1 dependant)

This means she has been previously granted leave as a tier 1 dependant

4. k3-section, Is your relationship with the main applicant subsisting
(what does it say, Yes, she does stay with me and will continue staying with me)

So the answer should be yes

5. are both of your parents lawfully present in the uk
( ??, no parents, just husband present in uk)

after answering K3, you are instructed to go to question K7... in other words, ignore the next questions and move to K7

6. is the main applicant your sole surviving parent
(??)
Ignore and go to K7

7. does the main applicant have sole responsibility for your upbringing
(?? , yes, but parents could be and will be supportive as well but they are not in UK)

Ignore and go to K7

8. do you intend to stay in the uk beyond the period of leave that the main applicant has been granted
(??, my wife will be staying with me in UK as long as I have visa, so should i mark YES or NO

No

9. pg.30, reference number of the main applicant most recent application to us
(?? , I will be applying for extension as the same time as the dependant, what is this reference no. indicate?)

If you do not know the ref leave blank

10. date of the main applicant most recent application to us
( initially i got tier 1 in 2009, then i will be renewing now, what is this recent applicant date indicates??)

11. question for dependant:
if you have any previous passport which containes a previous grant of leave
YES or NO, my wife just has one tier 1 visa which she got along with me during 2009

From what you have said, you come across as saying that your wife has never been granted another UK visa before save for the tier 1. If that is the case, then the answer is "NO".

12. In the new dependant tier 1 general form, at the very final page it says << go to section D, but there is no section D in the application form >>>

which page is this??? the application form has a section D (pages 14 and 15) as far as I can see.

Please could someone reply with any answers , I have the appointment in 2 days time, sorry for the short notice,
Thanks everyone for your precious time in replying.

Further to my answers above, pages 54-59 of the PBS Dependant Application form contains instructions on answering some of the questions and should help.

Thanks a lot Scope D for your detailed answer, I much appreciate it.

Just one quick question regarding the No.11 -- If you have any previous PASSPORT which containes a previous grant of leave.

- Details: My wife has got only one passport and the same passport we will be applying for this renewal. And she had just one TIER 1 DEPENDANT visa which she got along with me and she will be renewing the second time along with me in 2 days time. so I guess it should be NO as mentioned by you. Could you please reconfirm it.

Thanks again,
Dino

Dino,

The answers is 'NO' as you've already said. This is just pure logic because she doesn't have any other passport that she used to travel to UK.

Hope it makes sense.
