UK Tier1, consulting in Germany on Schengen Business Visa

Post by blacklabel69 » Tue Feb 28, 2012 5:14 pm

Hello everyone,

I have a Tier 1 General visa valid till November 2012. I have a new job offer which expects me to be consulting in Germany for the new company's client, with travel every week.

I worked out a schedule whereby I can be at the German offices of the client 3 or 4 days a week, so that I can overcome the 90 days stay in 180 days regulation. I will be paid all salary in the UK and expenses for my travel/stays so I will not be employed by the client in Germany (otherwise which would entail getting a German workpermit)

Is this possible ? If not, I can say no to the job or negotiate to reduce travel as I don't want to violate any laws either in EU or in the UK as I am apprehensive that while travel once in a month is ok, travelling every week might lead to accusations of employment in Germany.

I did a search before posting this but mostly I came up with people travelling with an ILR or EEA-family members. I have repeated an already-answered question, please point me to the old one.

Thanks,
BL69
