I had applied for Tier-1 General extension in Dec 2011 and it’s approved now. I am granted a 2 year extension till Feb-2014. Along with my application submitted were applications of my wife and daughter. My wife and I held a Tier-1 visa since Jan 2009 however my daughter was on a Family Visitor Visa when I applied for an extension (for all 3 of us) in Dec 2011. My wife’s application is also successful. However, my daughter’s visa is refused since she entered UK as a visitor and not as a child of point based system migrant. However kind consideration has been made to grant her discretionary visa (Resident Permit - Limited Leave to Remain). Visa validity visa is the same as ours (parents). i.e, from Feb-2012 to Feb-2014.
Since my daughter’s visa type is different from that of ours, I would like to clarify the following please.
1. Is visa granted to my daughter (Resident Permit - Limited Leave to remain) 'Multiple Entry'. i.e, Can daughter travel out/in to UK as long as dates on her visa are valid. Are there any travel restrictions I need to be aware of specifically applicable to my daughter's visa. Assured is an accompanying parent at all times during her travel.
2. The covering letter from UK Border Agency mentions that my daughter should leave UK and apply for a appropriate entry clearance as a dependant of Tier-1 General migrant before the period of leave granted expires (i.e, Feb-2014). Does this mean she can continue on her current visa till then with out any issues.
I am planning for a trip to India(my home country) soon. It would be great if any of you can shed some light on my queries ASAP and let me know if there’s any action I can take proactively in this regard.
Kind regards...
