Hello,
Could any senior members or moderator help me clarify this as I am not yet sure though I've tried researching on my own with past threads etc...
It might have changed as new policy guidance is updated on 13 Feb 2012.
I've received my initial HSMP back in Dec 2007, and since I've entered in UK in Jul 2008, though I've extended my visa to Tier 1 General in Dec 2009, I am still7 months short to apply for ILR.
Therefore, I need to apply for the second extension.
I've read the policy guidance, and now I'm confused.
It says on the Qualifications section (page 12) 56. An applicant will be awarded no points for a Bachelor's degree if:
(b) (i) he has had leave to remain as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules in place between 31 March 2009 and 5 April 2010
My Tier 1 visa (1st extension from HSMP) is stamped as of Jan 2010.
Will I be able to score 30 points with my degree just like my previous application?
I've found a few posting saying that we can claim points for degree if we initially was awarded points with degree, but has the rule changed recently???
Could anyone please clarify whether I can claim points for my degree?
I really hope I can!!!!
Also, could I claim the same points for my age as my 1st extension?? or do we claim with our CURRENT age?
One more question, which application form do I need to use?
I once saw the posting saying we need to use the same application form as we've applied previously..... but I doubt it.
Is it the one which says "This form is to be used for applications made on or after 6 April 2011"?
I've been really confused and worried.
Any advice or insight will be appreciated. Thank you.
