Penalty fare and criminal convictions

Post by Venki3g » Thu Mar 01, 2012 7:12 pm

Dear All,

I will apply for Tier 1 extension next week. I paid a penalty fair while on a bus three weeks ago. I suppose this is different from FPN which is discussed in details in the forum. I hope you can answer my questions.

1- Do I need to mention this in the application form?
2- Is there a document from UK border that talks about this issue?
3- Did anyone has this issue and applied for extension without problem?
4- If I mention it in the application form to be on the safe side, would this attract more attention and possbily UK border will delay my application? also, this means i need to mention it again when I apply for ILR
5- Is there a contact number or email so I can double check with UK border?

I am sorry if this is mentioned somewhere else. But I am really stressed about it.

Thank you all in advance.

Venki

Did you attend court? if not, it is just a penalty fare like any other FPN... As long as you paid it on the spot and there was no court case and there was no police caution, then there is no need to mention it....

Thank you very much lesbere.

Yes, I paid the penalty fare on the spot - no court involved.

Again, thank you.

What of if U contested a parking ticket of £30 in court and you won the case......do you need to declare this when applying for your Tier 1 extension?

If you won the case, clearly, that is not a criminal conviction
