Hiya
I have submitted my BC application and am wondering if it is complex and whether in your opinion it will be a long wait for approval.
I came to the UK in 2000 to claim asylum, but it was not granted. I married my wife in 2003 and but we didn't submit any applications for settlement as she was a student and couldn't provide the evidence to support me. I returned to my country voluntarily in 2006 and my wife came out to live with me in 2007, we then applied for a spousal visa and returned to the UK in 2009. I applied for ILR in 2011 and was succesful.
A few points that might make it more complex:
When i came to the UK my name was recorded wrongly and my date of birth. My name because the second part of my surname was left off, and my date of birth because I didnt know the conversion of the persian and western calendar.
I lived in the UK with these details between 2000-2006 as they could not be amended because I had no identity documents from my country.
I also obtained a criminal record in 2003 whilst in the UK with this name and date of birth (which is now spent).
When I applied for my spousal visa I made the UKBA aware of my previous name and date of birth, and there was no problem with the application. Again when applying for ILR I made UKBA aware and yet again there were no concerns.
With my current BC application, In question 1.8 I have written that I was previously known as just my name and surname, with the second part of my surname omitted, and I have written the details and explanation on page 13. ( I havent included anyhting about the date of birth).
In the good character section I have not filled in my criminal record as it is now spent.
In your experience, Is this case complex and likely to cause delay and problems during processing.
Thanking you in anticipation.
