Schengen Visa - Germany - Visa validity

Hi

I am applying for Schengen visa to visit Germany for business purpose. However, my Tier-1 visa will expire on 13 June 2012.

The Germany embassy website states that "valid for at least three months longer than the expiry date of the visa."

I have got appointment to visit German embassy for 13 March. I am planning to travel on 26th March and will stay for only 5 days.

Anyone please tell me if I can apply for Visa while my UK visa will actually expire in 3 months??
