Biometric enrolment mystery!!!

Post by Nefertiiti » Mon Mar 05, 2012 6:55 pm

Hello again everyone!!!

I would like to know how long it takes after enrolling my biometric information to getting the decision.

Secondly, does the fact that I am being asked to enrol my biometric info give any indication that my application has been approved? I guess what I'm trying to ask is if I there are any issues with my application would I have been told by now BEFORE being asked to enrol my bio details?

I am trying to decipher the inner workings of the HO, lol.

Anyone with some insight should please help me out.

Everyone submits biometics regardless of the eventual outcome.

Processing times

Applying from inside the UK
This page gives details of the processing time for applications made in the UK under Tier 1 (Post-study work) of the points-based system.

We are currently considering applications where the applicant attended a biometric appointment on or before 20 February.

Please note that this date is only a guideline. Some cases may take longer to consider.

Service standards
Our service standards set out how quickly we aim to decide immigration applications.

For applications made inside the UK under Tier 1 of the points-based system, the standard is that we will decide 75 per cent of applications within 4 weeks.
