New Rule 35,000 pounds salary

The new rule that will be applied in April 2012 requires a minimum of 35K. Will this affect for Work permits applied in 2008. ie a salary less than 35K.

My understanding is that it will NOT affect... Please post your comments.

Based on my understanding the 35K rule will apply to those who will apply for ILR from 2016 onwards.
