Biometric Appointment Booking-Main applicant and 1 Dependant

Hi All,

My wife and I received biometric enrolment letter on 16.02 and booked appointment the same day. The appointment slot is on 14.03 in Liverpool.

When I was making appointment online, ukba website asked how many dependants were coming with me. Since I said 1 and chose time slot, I didn't make separate booking for dependant (thinking that website now knows my wife is coming with me).

My question is: did I need to make separate (additional) biometric appointment for my wife too, logging in to ukba as her ??

Does anyone have experience with this?

You should be okay. Main applicant and dependant generally book a single appointment by selecting '1 dependant' when the main applicant books the online appointment.

You don't need to book a separate appointment for the dependant.

though we got two different biometric letters, i did in the same way by booking single appointment for main applicant and adding 1 dependant to the appointment at liverpool office on 21 feb 2012. every thing went perfectly fine.

Yes all was fine. Although we got these 2 letters for each of us, only I (main) applicant needed to make online booking and state 1 dependant is coming with me.

It seems that different agencies are managing the website and sending letters which may be the reason for not crystal clear instructions what to do.

Anyway, it all went fine. We got our extension in May 2012.
