Hi ,
I am going for extension next week so just want to clear a small question about my dividend . I am in company structure earning pattern with salary + dividend amounts each month
Question:
In April 2011 , i transferred ABC amount from my Business to personal account while mentioning dividend March 2011 . My question is ::: does this effect my dividend which will start from April 2011 to March 2012 . In simple it's a description only in my statement , else date and amount is correct ( matched personal + business account) . So this will be considered as April dividend and not the March dividend ?
Kindly reply
Thanks
Ali

If you paid the dividend in March, why would it be considered to be an April dividend? I would expect it would be considered to be a March dividend. Maybe I don't understand the question.

I believe the question is: The dividend for the month of March has been paid in April with a label on the bank statement that clearly says Dividend for March.
I don't think that would be an issue. March Dividend will stay as March Dividend and won't affect the payments for the next Financial Year.

Umm...In that case I am not the right person to answer this. You need to get in touch with an Accountant.

Hi ,
Got a reply back from accountant that the dividend is paid in tax point in April and will be considered as April 2011 dividend . This will be explained in accountant letter along with the fact the this amount has not been shown in previous self assessment to HMRC .
Any senior member please can comment
Thanks in advance
Thanks
