Delay in French student visa

Hi guys am wondering if any of u can help me here.
I have applied for EPITA graduate school in france and got admission. i even paid the first sem fee and applied for visa from Bangalore french consulate on feb 16th today is 6th mar
and yet there is no response from the embassy. I called them to inquire about my visa status and they told me that there was a hold up in Delhi embassy regarding approvals to all the students from Andhra pradesh( a souther state in india). There are at least 15 students from my state Andhra who have applied to various schools in paris like Skema and ISP but all the students who have applied much earlier than me are still waiting to know the status.

They are not giving any response either an approval or a rejection at all. And the classes are gonna commence from 15th mar.

so what should we do? any suggestions???? or is this the normal for french embassies?
