Tier 1 Extension Qualification Issue

Post by aki » Tue Mar 06, 2012 11:33 am

I applied for the Extension of Tier 1 visa. But Officer said that you can't claim the points for your Bachelors Qualification. We are getting the date as 01-04-2009 and according to that you can't get 30 points for Bachelors. I told the officer that i did my process before to that and you awarded me 30 points for that in my initial application. So there should not be issue now. Officer said that i am seeing that but i have to forward the case to senior officer who will take the decision. Did it happen to anyone else who can help me. Because i remember i applied at the edge of policy change. So if anyone can help that what could be the farther consequences and what should i do?

The rule changed on 31-03-2009, that’s why CW is bit confused.

If you have any approval letter or any receipt for the initial application that would be helpful for you.

For me it was same I applied for my initial grant on 30-03-2009, but I kept my initial receipt for the fee which clearly indicate my date of application as 30-03-2009.

My case got approved but I applied my initial grant on basis of bachelor and extended on basis of master’s. As my master's degree was not with me at the time of initial grant(also it gave my additional 5 points)
