Working fulltime after finishing the course?

Post by jason32 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 12:06 pm

Hi Guyz,

I did my MBA and my course has been finished and submitted my dissertation on 9th Jan. I was called for an interview on 12th of Jan and was offered a fulltime senior level position at a big travel company because of my previous experience. Anyway, they have given me a temp contract for 3 months and will make it permanent if I get my PSW. I am just waiting for my result to be annouced sometime this week and then I'll apply.

Just want to know if I am doing everything right? taking fulltime employment in my condition is ok? I am allowed to work 20 hrs anyway but since my course has been finished so it shouldnt be any problem?

You can work full-time during vacations, within the above limits. If you have completed your course and you apply to remain in the UK under the points-based system before your existing permission to stay expires, you can work full-time (within the above limits) until your application is decided.

So does that apply to me as well? It ok for me to work full time on temp basis untill I apply for my PSW and a decision is made?

I am doing a full time temp job while I wait for my visa to process. For what I have read, and it linked in the above post, this is acceptable.
