hit and run

Post by canon123 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 3:52 pm

my friend did a hit and run. he was taken to court fined by police etc. he had his license revoked.

He is extending tier 1 visa next month. he had this issue last month.

Is extension an issue?? He will be declaring it though on the application form.

Please advise!!!

as far as I know extension no issue unless he has been done something very serious...Must declare in form...

What was he convicted in court for? If he was taken to the court, he must have been convicted of something? In my opinion, this would need to be declared on the form, whether or not it has any consequence, will remain to be seen.

he did not stop after the accident.. it wasnt a major one. just a small dent on opponent's car.. he was fined by court with his license revoked..

Do u think this will stop him from getting extension?? he did paid the fine etc on the same day

I am not here to give an verdict of whether it will affect his/her application, sorry. However, since he was convicted for his crime in the court, he would need to mention it on the form, me think. Seek a legal advice in doubt as we are not professionals and certainly not my 9-5 job :)
