Is it true that if you fill in an application via lawyers or your company it takes less time for the process in comparison if you submit it yourself?

I don't think so.

If you fill in everything correctly, your application should be straight forward. It should be the same as with lawyer. If your company does not clear about the requirement, it may take longer. But it all really depends on the completness of the information you submit.
