applying for part buy part let scheme

Post by linux44 » Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:20 am

Hi,

I am on a post study visa and want to apply for the part buy part rent home purchase scheme. So far I realised that for instance if I buy 25% of the share the other 75% is owned by housing association and government schemes.

I spoke to sales agent and she mentioned it doesn’t matter as long as I can obtain mortgage on my visa. I am in breach of my visa condition , in another word is this counted as public fund ?

thanks

Housing Association is not a kind of public fund. They are independent and not for profit organisation.

BUT you have to ensure that you are not referred to them by housing authorities or local authorities. It will be treated as recourse to public fund.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
