minimum balance reqd

hi,

i read in this forum that the mnimum balance needed is around £106 for a couple and £60 for child per week after rent/mortage and council tax.

does loan and food taken in consideration ? (the bank statement does show the loan deducted every month) - i am planing to show 6 months statement. also does the minimum balance of £60 rule apply for baby ?

I think that is the correct amount you need to show for couple £106 weekly and £60 weekly for any additional dependent. I would imagine the amount is calculated after paying rent, council tax and any loan. Food and other expenses are outside as these are counted as living costs.
