income from two sources for T1 extension in June 2012

Post by argus7 » Sat Mar 10, 2012 1:50 pm

Hi ,

My visa status is under rules post 6th April 2010. So need to show 75 points .

I am failing short by about 2.5k which I can can show when I work part time as a systems developer.
Now my concerns are :

1) What care should I take while showing additional income, the company I would be doing work will pay me the money in my bank account and will provide a wage slip and a letter on their letter head saying reason for paying the extra XXXX pounds as work done.

2) They would cut NI and tax on that , which is fine as long as I see the Gross and net salary. Would there be a problem?

3)Do I need to tell HMRC / Inland revenue. Is there a tax code or brackett for this?

4) Is there anything I need to do extra

NOTE:- my full time employer has no problems me doing any extra work as long I dont breach company laws and regulations.

Please reply in case any experiences of such kind as I am committed to start work soon and dont want to delay as time is running out.

Thanks,

This is like doing 2 jobs for 2 different employers which is fine.

you dont have to tell anything to HMRC as being self employed or anything else as your taxes & NI have already been deducted by your employers
