Do you want to visit him for business, or because he´s your cousin (family visit)?
He just needs to write an informal letter, saying "I hereby invite (my cousin, name, date-of-birth) to come and visit me for tourism/family visit..."

- Schengen-visa-Form
- Invitation letter
- Health Insurance
- Proof of funds for your visit
- flight reservations (which cannot be effected with low-cost airlines, it´s usually enough to print the flight you intend to take...)
- accomodation (hotel, or your cousin includes in the invitation that you can stay with him)

Only clairvoyants would be able to say...
Special hint for Belgian Embassies: Should they refuse to accept all papers in English, asking for official translations, tell them you will bring
German translations! Usually they suddenly accept English papers... (Reason is that most people don´t know that German is an official language in Belgium)
Good luck!
