Tier1 extension UKBA cross verification between employers

Hi,
I am a full time employee with an employer and am falling short of few points for which I am doing IT contract work for a second ltd company as self employed. I requested my full time employer to support for extension but they refused to do so and didnt prefer me to take part time role.
I am clean per records of both employers as in the salary and the bank statements. But during the verification process of UKBA, will the UKBA officials cross verify and let the employers know that I am working for each others company and earning additional income? Any experience with applicants before who could share?

You don't need your current employers support. It's a points-based application based on your previous earnings. You don't actually need to be working at all at the time you apply. If (although rare) they do need to verify earnings with a particular employer they will limit their enquiry to your relationship with that employer and will not discuss other aspects of your application.
