Spouse VISA - Workpermit holder

Post by sateeshiiitb » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:44 am

Hi

I am currently on a work permit VISA which was issued 4 years ago. According to the new immigration rules, I understand that work permit visa is closed for good.

I got married recently and we are in the process of applying a spouse VISA for my wife. The page http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... -students/ mentions one of the two forms (VAF2 or VAF10) must be used in the VISA application.

1. Given that I am on a work permit which form should we use?
2. Do I need to send an accommodation proof eg: Tenancy contract docs?
3. The page http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ableAnchor shows the VISA fees for work permit holder dependent application as £400. Is this the correct fee?
4. Do I have to send my original passport?
5. What documents does my wife has to submit along with the VISA application?
6. At present am thinking of sending the following docs (mine)
a) Photocopy of my passport, VISA pages
b) Salary slips for past 3 months
c) Bank statements for past 3 months
d) Covering letter for my wife's application detailing the list of documents, source(s) of funds etc.,

I would be grateful if any knowledgeable person can answer my questions. Thanks for your time.

Regards
Sateesh.
