Barcode not scanned for baby at post office

Post by hemantkhanduja » Mon Mar 12, 2012 3:15 pm

Hi,

I have received my biometric after long wait of 8 weeks and then I was given option to enrol for biometric at post office but it was not a good news for me when I got to know that bar code for the baby was not readable.I went to another post office next day and I was told that it happened for many babies under 1 year of age.

Any anyone faced the same issue.I got appointment of 20th april which is furthur 6 weeks from today.

My application would take around 4 months as per my estimate.
I will never choose postal application again

I am going for mine with wife and toddler (less than 2 years old). Hope I don't face a similar situation. From March 1st children's biometric can be done according to the letter. Hope for the best.

@john353, Were you able to successfully enrol biometrics for yourself and your dependants at Post office?

yes, did the biometrics for all of us at the post office. It went smooth for us. There were like 5 people ahead of us in the queue, but didn't have to wait for long.

@john353, Could you please let us know what was mentioned for "Responsible Adult" on your kid's biometric letter? Was it "No Responsible Adult Found"?

It was my name (i.e Main applicant) for the responsible adult on the letter.

I remember entering my name for the 'accompanying responsible adult' in the relevant section of the dependent application form when we applied.

Hi,

Today I attended Cardiff PEO for biometric.
They didn't took biometric for my 3 yrs old child, normally take for more than 6 yrs child.

Is it true? Can someone comment please.

Thanks

They do not take finger prints for under 6 year olds but they should have taken photograph of your kid. Haven't they?

Also shown the photo to kid.. so look like they have taken photo.
