Hi,

My friend , Monika who is from Belgium(part of EU) and my other friend Bunty who is from India recently got engaged in a church in the UK. Bunty was in the UK for about 3 years and Monika is currently in the UK since about 1 and half years. Bunty had to leave India because his visa expired. They want to get married but are not sure of the options. So here is my question:
How can Monika go to India and get married to Bunty and live there for long or come back to the UK with Bunty, please?
Monika is here via EU card and Bunty has not many options of coming to the UK.
Appreciate your help on this, please.

eea family permitt will be the best. valid for 6 months and free of charge. once he is here then apply for eea2 residence card valid for 5 yrs.

Why would he have to leave India, if he´s an Indian national? No country that I know demands visas for their own citizens!

To answer your question, it is important to know where each of them are now and what they want. Living together in the UK, or living together in India :?:

In India, I can tell you from my own experience, everything is complicated. However everything can be achieved, if you know who to bribe with how much. But for that you need local expertise of Indians in India. I´m pretty sure no forum will be able to help you there. Recommended reading: Shantaram ;)

If they want to live together in the UK, this forum should be able to help. They´d need to get married, get the marriage approved through the UK embassy in India and subsequently apply for an EEA-family-permit, which will allow Bunty to travel to the UK and then stay and work there.
